God damn, I knew this piece of crap would be a hit, but who knew Schlomo would bring thoughts up?

Ok, so I've been looking at the whole All New Yesterday's movement, which I define as an "encouragements for fellow paleoartists to depict prehistoric fauna in unconventional ways yet not straying far from what is evidence...".

Apparently my Allosaurus with fuzzy integument caused some people to get mad. Believe me, as I drew him, I was the first angry person. This was a 9m+ highly active theropod that lived at a time where the planet was the absolute hottest. Why give it fuzz? It's not even a coelurosaurian. BBBBBbbbbbbbbbuuut...why not?

Why not? I don't think I've seen any allosaurs with fuzz.

I think he looks good! I never draw allosaurs since they do not interest me as much as...ceratosaurs or sauropods do, but they are a very diverse group. So who the F knows what went on back in the day?

Anyways, I'm just really happy there was a debate over it. I consider the kid a personal best, and he is now available for $10. If anyone wants characters using his body, it'll be $5 via paypal. I'll eventually turn him into shirt mode (is this a spoiler?) because I wanna get the message across. Dinosaurs had fuzz. The end.
But we need more evidence.

Wait 'till you see "the pointy reptile" as a buffalo. HAHAHA that ought to turn people off.

Well, I can't see what they're saying, but the internet in general seems to always get butthurt over fuzzy dinosaurs.

Unfortunately though, we know at least the sides of a juvenile Allosaurus had scales, as that link I showed you in the comment mentioned. But this doesn't exclude feathers on other parts of its body. I just hope they find more impressions soon, and furthermore, that they're actually published in a scientific journal with photos and a full, detailed explanation.
