Allosaurus fragilis

Description

The Jurassic lion! It's kind of based on bits and pieces from all Alosaurus, and the pose and coloration is based on the original Carnegie Allosaurus toy model.

Now on sale. $10 per original art, $5 per character.

What this means is that you can request a dinosaur character using this model. The character is yours, but the original model is mine. Same goes for all my dinosaurs. Anyone wants characters of my dinosaur?

I'm just trying this out to see if anyone wants to buy art. Anyways, I wish the gradient had come out better, but I think there's something wrong with my scanner.

Next up, a very pointy reptile.

Who knows when I'll complete that.

Edit. Thank you for all the favorites. I posted this to Paleoartists on Facebook and a war went on. I AM SO HAPPY! I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE TALK ABOUT MY ART! EVEN IF IT'S NEGATIVE CRITICISM! IT MEANS IT MEANS SOMETHING! :D

Please continue debating whether Allosauros has hair/feathers/other than a plain dry scaly skin here!

And for those who hate fuzzy integument, wait 'till I post my next one... hehehe you'll REALLY hate me for that.

I have something to add on the topic of Allosaurus integument:
dml.cmnh.org/2004Aug/msg00136.…
It's really too bad this hasn't been officially published in a peer-reviewed journal, though, and it doesn't specify where on the left side of the body the scales were found. It also doesn't exclude the possibility that Allosaurus had feathers elsewhere on its body. I hope we'll find out more about it soon.

As far as critique goes, I think the body looks a little too narrow to me, at least if it's an adult. And ironically, the juveniles actually had small arms proportionately compared to the adults.
